I sincerely apologize for having to add this pop-up to weSRCH.com. I know it is annoying and it was one of the last things I wanted to do. But having a large member base on-line is something our advertisers need to gauge how the value of advertising at weSRCH will be for them. Advertising is how weSRCH.com pays its bills. Without it, we would have to charge you like some other web 2.0 sites do. Charging you is absolutely the very last thing I want to do to make this site viable. So we opted for this annoying pop-up, which you can kill by simply logging on every time you visit the site. Thank you in advance for signing up.
Sincerely,
G. Dan Hutcheson, CEO

weSRCH.com is the world’s first on-line professional networking site. It does for high paid professionals what social networking has done for teenagers. Professionals use it to save time. They can see the latest news and technical trends. It covers all of Electronics, Medicine, and Energy. For the advertiser, the main attraction is that the average income level of weSRCH users is well over $100,000, wealth levels are over $1 million, and they often oversee purchases and investments at their employers that are in the millions and in some cases, billions of dollars. They range for the scientists and engineers who create the products, the senior executives who run their companies, to family doctors and other professionals. They come because weSRCH.com is designed to make their knowledge gathering more efficient, saving time for other parts of their life. That’s why so many come. weSRCH.com is not a site for teens or geeks. It is a serious site for those who need to make a business out of technology.
weSRCH’s advertiser section of the website features a number of tools designed to make the ad management and placement more efficient. The ad management tool is campaign based: you can design different campaigns using multiple banner/keyword/click-thru and sponsorship combinations. The campaigns can then be reviewed for statistics and changed to get maximum impact. Additionally the spending on the campaigns can be managed by preset amounts or date ranges for each ad. The expiration of an individual ad or campaign triggers an automatic e-mail alert for your action.
You can choose between several advertising types and locations, which have been designed to provide different levels of exposure around the weSRCH.com website. Additionally you can select the domain (Electronics, Medical, Energy or all), where the ads are presented. These include the following:
1) Classic Banner Ads: You have a choice of five different types of banner ads:
a. The Home Page top banner is the most visible and shows up every time the home page is viewed. The size of the top banner is 300 x 250 pixels (click on links in the text to see banner locations).
b. The Welcome ad comes up whenever a visitor goes to weSRCH.com and plays a full page flash before they enter the site
c. The center banner ad is located slightly lower on the home page. It is very visible and shows up every time the home page is viewed. The size of the center banner is 500 x 200 pixels.
d. The homepage bottom banner ad is the least visible of the banner ads available. The size of the bottom banner is 500 x 200 pixels.
e. The side banner is displayed on all papers and press releases. The size of the side banner is 150 x 728 pixels. Additionally weSRCH offers welcome banners that are located whenever the index or article pages are accessed. The size of the welcome banner is 640 x 480 pixels
2) Click-through Ads: Click-through text ads are located on the right side of weSRCH articles and index pages. They are small ads that can be seen when the site visitor searches and reads articles on the site. These click-through ads are charged only when the visitor clicks through the ad to your site.
3) Keywords: You can buy keywords that show a link every time that keyword is present in the text. There it comes with a mouse-over that displays your text or flash whenever a mouse pointer passes over it. Keywords are charged by the number of click-throughs, making it a very economical way to gain mind share or establish a competitive position. The keyword ads can be in two formats. They can be either simple text based ads (like Google), or modern flash animation based.
4) Author Honorariums: You can incentivize authors with honorariums. Your company is identified as the sponsor every time the article is viewed. As part of a sponsorship you get to post a banner ad at the top of the article. The banner size is 728 x 90 pixels. You can choose from three levels of sponsorship. Platinum extends as long as the research paper is posted in the site. The Gold runs for one year and Silver for six months.
After you have logged in as an advertiser, you can buy advertising by clicking the “Advertise with us” link at the top navigation bar. Then select the type of ad you want to buy, and follow the instructions for uploading and payment.
